Emilia Clarke – Daenerys Targaryen

After Game of Thrones, Emilia Clarke will be putting away the Mad Queen gig for more positive roles. At the end of this year, she will star in a Christmas rom-com, Last Christmas, alongside the great Emma Thompson. Clarke plays a woman that works as an elf in a year-round Christmas store in London, and she meets and hooks up with the charismatic Henry Goulding (Crazy Rich Asians). Clarke will also play a hometown Kentucky girl who gets involved with a married FBI Agent in Above Suspicion.

Sophie Turner – Sansa Stark

You’d have to have had your head stuck in the sand to not to know that Sophie Turner’s next biggest movie is her solo film in the X-Men franchise, Dark Phoenix. Almost 10 years after X-Men: Apocalypse, the lovely Jean Grey is exposed to solar flare radiation during a space rescue mission. This leads to her telekinetic powers evolving, making her one of the most powerful X-Men. This also creates a much darker side to Jean Grey.

Turner will also be featured in two dramas that are drastically different than her role as Sansa. She will play a teenage girl that befriends a veteran with PTSD in Broken Soldier and the love of a high-end drug dealer who takes a risky deal from a childhood friend in the crime thriller Heavy.

Kit Harrington – Jon Snow

As one of the biggest breakout stars of Game of Thrones, it’s surprising that Kit Harrington doesn’t have any future works pending after the show ends. The only thing we know so far is based on a 2018 interview with Entertainment Weekly where Harrington explained that he hoped to shed the Jon Snow image by cutting his hair and taking on roles that were nothing like his Game of Thrones character. He may not have anything set up after Game of Thrones ends, but we can still expect nothing but greatness from the actor who has already had his share of impressive performances.

Maisie Williams – Arya Stark

Just like her Game of Thrones sister Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams intends to make her splash after Game of Thrones in the Marvel universe. Slated for a 2020 release after being pushed back several times, Williams will be a part of the highly anticipated The New Mutants. However, this MCU movie is more horror than the action theme of X-Men we are used to. The new group of young mutants in this film take on mystical and fantastical aspects that their predecessors didn’t.

Williams may just be as much a fan of comics as the rest of us as her second upcoming film is also based on a comic. The Ownersbased on a Belgian comic book written by Yves H, is about a group of destitute guys that plan on robbing a wealthy doctor while he is away from his home. This goes against the wishes of one of their girlfriends, played by Williams. The robbery takes a turn for the worst when the doctor returns home and recognizes his masked assailants.
