[To be read in a booming movie trailer voice]
In a world where we’re sometimes seen as one-dimensional, Culturess is all about going 3D (but, you know, without the special shades—those things are a rip-off).
No, we mean 3D as in celebrating all facets of vivid, technicolor fangirldom. Whether it’s analyzing horror themes in the latest Archie comic, bowing down to Gal Gadot, drafting an LGBTQ writing dream team for the upcoming L Word reboot, geeking out over a new arts festival for self-described black nerds, or crushing hard on Daenerys Targaryen’s fierce winter coat on Game of Thrones (and its deeper meaning), Culturess is a place where you never have to choose between your passions. We leave traditional stereotypes, particularly those affecting women (though anyone’s welcome here), on the cutting room floor.
We cover everything from podcasts to politics to the Potterverse; from romance novels to records to rides at Disney World. Through it all, the common plotline is always further fueling your fandoms, whatever they may be.

We're looking for thoughtful, diverse new voices. Do you feel strongly about musical theater? LGBTQ issues in pop culture? Race on TV and in movies? Reality TV? True crime? Nonfiction new releases? Underwater basket-weaving? Another obscure fandom we don’t even know about? We want to hear from you.
Send us pitches, ideas or just say hello at [email protected]

We aren't called FanSided for nothing. Our network of sports, entertainment and lifestyle sites are powered by fans that want to cover their passions! Whether you are just looking to get your start in online media or you want to contribute to your favorite site as a hobby, FanSided wants to hear from you.
Our work is regularly featured on SI.com and Bleacher Report and many FanSided writers have gone on to work full-time in online media. FanSided hired over ten of its own writers in 2013 and there are currently FanSided alums working at other major media outlets and with professional sports teams.
The idea of FanSided was born in 2007, when two brothers felt that their favorite team, the Kansas City Chiefs, was being under-covered by the mainstream media. Taking matters into their own hands, they launched Arrowhead Addict, a move that would spawn the creation of FanSided in 2009, a network of over 300+ fan-powered unique sports, entertainment and lifestyle sites dedicated to team-specific, sport-specific, genre-specific, and fanbase-specific coverage.
From sports, movies and TV to lifestyle and tech, FanSided has you covered.
