Gunpowder is an HBO miniseries based on the real Gunpowder plot of 1605 headed by Robert Catesby, who was a Catholic infuriated by oppression from the Protestant ruling monarch. The plan was to blow up the House of Lords and kill the king. The coolest part about Harrington playing Catesby is that he’s a direct descendant of the character. The miniseries also gets points for employing another Game of Thrones actor Mark Gatiss, who played the representative of the Iron Bank of Bravos, Tycho Nestoris.
