Will Michonne show up in The Walking Dead movies?

Gurira’s exit from the series also opens the door for her character to have a spot in The Walking Dead movies. Will Michonne’s new life be centered in the world of the helicopter people that saved Rick? There’s very little we know about the helicopter folks other than that they have a strange rating process in recruitment (Type A’s and B’s) and that they saved Rick and had the medical means to do so.

Other than that, we don’t know much about the life that Michonne would be headed towards should she decide to go looking for Rick. Keep in mind that the gist behind The Walking Dead movies is that Rick recovers with the helicopter people but never comes back.

The question most have forgotten to consider is what would keep Rick from returning to Alexandria. Is he a prisoner that can’t get out? The last time we saw Rick he survived an explosion, could he have injured himself to the point that he can’t get back home? Or is he just too far to even make it back?

If Michonne goes looking for Rick, she may be heading into even more problems then she had at home. The silver lining lies in the Richonne reunion and Rick seeing his kids. That will surely be a tear jerker since it will be the first time Rick meets RJ. The likelihood of these developments is better than other theories considering they could lead to high ratings for the films. Not to mention the fact that fans’ hearts will instantly explode.
