Will Michonne die, or will she just leave the community?

There are only two ways to leave The Walking Dead. Michonne will either have to die in the series or end up packing her bags. Both means of leaving the show would bring about serious questions, though, and neither exit will be easy. Considering that Michonne is the leader of Alexandria, and has two children, how she leaves will not only affect her own journey but those around her.

Should Michonne decide to leave Alexandria for good, it may be to join Maggie in her new home with Georgie (possibly in the Commonwealth). But this will only be a possibility if, in the remaining episodes leading to her last day, Michonne and Maggie patch up their relationship since it’s been on the rocks since Rick allegedly died.

We have the rest of season 9 and a handful of episodes in the tenth season to sort Michonne and Maggie’s friendship. Why would Michonne even join Maggie? Michonne may just end up needing a safe place to live because of what happens with the Whisperers.

A more likely theory is that Michonne will come across proof that Rick is still alive. If that comes into play, Michonne will no doubt risk it all to be reunited with the love of her life again.

Of course, Michonne could become a victim of foul play. The Whisperers are the most challenging group to date. The way things are moving forward, Michonne could end up another casualty of war. Since it is the walker apocalypse, we also can’t rule out that Michonne could be bitten or eaten by walkers. (But please, let’s hope that doesn’t happen!)
