Judith Grimes brings home some strangers and Alexandria must decide if they can stay considering that they might just be another threat.

Tonight on The Walking Dead we find out how well things are going after six years for all of the people that clung to Rick Grimes’ every word and are now left without someone to direct and lead their goals for the sake of survival. While it looks like Michonne has taken hold of the responsibilities at Alexandria (as per AMC’s preview), what her new focus is for the town is still a mystery.

Judith Grimes, however, is older and may also have a hand in what goes on around town. If she is a little sheriff in the making, it doesn’t come as a surprise since her father and brother were born leaders, and it would only be right that she follows in their footsteps. And let’s not forget that ultimately, Michonne is the one who raised her. While there is no question that Judith is more badass then any of us could have imagined, I wonder how prepared she is for the Whisperers.

Tonight’s official AMC synopsis states:

"The Survivors encounter unfamiliar faces outside the safety of their community’s walls and must decide whether or not this new group can be trusted."

We got to meet the small group that Judith saved from the walkers at the end of Rick’s last episode. Alexandria and Michonne must decide if they will keep this small group of drifters despite the fact that Judith seems to have already decided to help these strangers. The fact that people like Negan still exist is a very real threat, and vetting anyone they allow within the doors of their sanctuary is very important.

It’s even more essential since we know that the Whisperers are out there nearby somewhere. Could these new people be friends of the Whisperers or are they innocent folks that can be added to their numbers to help defeat the Whisperers? The more people they add to the ranks the better because the Whisperers are going to be a force to be reckoned with if the size of the recent herds is any indication of how big their clan really is.
