Actor Iain Glen of Game of Thrones threw out some season 8 spoiler crumbs in a recent interview, but he didn’t tell us anything that we didn’t already know.

The Game of Thrones cast has been tight-lipped about season 8, which is set to be released in 2019. Fans are desperately looking for any signs that their favorite characters will survive until the very end, hanging on every word from cast members.

Iain Glen, who plays Ser Jorah Mormont, threw us a bone while speaking with Express UK, but he really didn’t reveal anything he hasn’t said before. In a previous interview with RadioTimes, he’d already disclosed how big the sets were and how long it took to get season 8 just right. And we already have theories set on how these details play into the destruction that is to come in the new season.

Glen didn’t do much for providing us with groundbreaking spoiler news, but he did reiterate the feelings of his fellow cast members. He described the final season as “emotional” and added that “You may be surprised by the obvious though.” Yeah, yeah, yeah, but tell us what we want to hear!

Gale’s character, Ser Jorah, is known mostly for betraying the Seven Kingdoms and living a life of exile which he ends up dedicating to Daenerys Targaryen. Although the character has an obvious crush, Daenerys has never been interested in becoming involved with her loyal advisor. So, it’s also not surprising that Glen stated in the interview that he would want Daenerys to be on the Iron Throne in the end.

Even so, it doesn’t look like she will survive the season as Glen that what happens is a surprise.
