Romance round-up: 5 August releases to round out your summer
By Sabrina Reed
The summer isn’t over yet! Before we slip into fall, add these five August romances to your TBR pile and bask in the last of the heat.
Hello, romance enthusiasts! The sun is quickly setting on summer, but we’re sliding in with some August picks to squeeze onto your to-be-read list before it’s fall’s turn to sweep you off your feet.
We know that reading may be hard during these uncertain times, but part of what makes the romance genre such a wonderful evolving body of literature is the comfort that can be found in the Happily Ever After. No matter what the characters are put through, love wins out in the end. It’s a genre that makes its bread and butter by prioritizing personal joy and the love we find in each other.

As fellow romance lovers, Culturess has been compiling lists encouraging all of our readers to cuddle up, march into, escape with, bloom, melt into, and kick back with romance reads every month — because if there’s anything that can bring some light into our lives, it’s a romance novel.
In this last hurrah for the summer season, consider walking the tight rope of a not quite showmance, navigating the world of hockey, disrupting the boys’ club of a video game firm, erring on the side of love with dueling business execs, and rooting for a Renaissance Man in need of some help from a girl who is in no way interested.
Romance may not make the world go round, but it certainly keeps it turning.
