Suicide Squad member: Nanaue / King Shark

Steve Agee and Sylvester Stallone helped bring this lovely idiot to life for his first movie appearance. The Aquaman villain King Shark is known to eat humans and we’ve seen a bit of that in the initial Suicide Squad trailers. We’ve also had a glimpse of his intelligence with his one-word replies like “Hand” and my favorite, “Bird”.

King Shark made his first appearance in Superboy #0 in 1994. Since then, he’s been making his way around the animated and live-action DC universe. He’s appeared on the CW’s The Flash, the animated Harley Quinn series, an animated Suicide Squad movie, and now in the 2021 big-screen version.

The Dad-bod shark man has already gained attention for being, well, an idiot. It would be a shame to see him go and I think Gunn may realize the character’s potential as well. While he may be a loveable idiot, he’s incredibly terrifying to me, given my fear of sharks. Let’s see if I can survive his appearance.

Prediction: Alive
