Best movie musicals: Rocketman

If you are looking for a musical fantasy with a biographical spin, then you need to watch Rocketman. This is especially true if you are a fan of Elton John, who is the subject of the film.

With this movie, we get stunning visuals and a look at the world through Elton John’s eyes. And it is also a chance to get an idea of how the singer became a star. Basically, this movie is a fun exploration of a music star’s journey from school prodigy to becoming partners with Bernie Taupin.

There is so much beauty in this movie, partly because of the fantasy elements, and also because this is a wild ride with amazing music. So of course, this movie features the works of Elton John and Taupin, even if he only performs one of the songs on the soundtrack, which is actually an original piece written for the movie itself.

Instead, of the singer’s voice being used, these songs are performed by the cast, and in particular, Taron Egerton who helps bring a young Elton John to life.

This was such a fun musical experience, and it is one that can’t be missed. The fact that it was done in a way that brings fantasy to life in the form of a biography (or perhaps we should say it brings a biography to life via fantasy), makes this musical so rich and beautiful.
