Do The Masked Singer clues indicate that Crocodile is in fact a member of the Backstreet Boys?

Is Backstreet back on FOX’s The Masked Singer?

There are three clues that scream the Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter is performing inside Crocodile on season four of the competition series. Let’s investigate.

Since this character’s audition performance the panel picked up on boy band vibes. Robin Thicke even guessed Crocodile was the husband to his fellow colleague Jenny McCarthy, saying the pink Crocodile was none other than Donnie Wahlberg from New Kids On The Block. But ever since Crocodile’s second clue package a big hint was dropped that pointed to Carter.

1. Giving his father a $100 check

Crocodile shared a story that when this celebrity was a kid he had aspirations to be a star. After his father doubter his talents, this celebrity handed his father his first working check for $100 saying “he made it” and his father shed tears of joy. This same story was shared in Carter’s memoir Facing the Music.  Stacey Richards shared a snippet on the show’s Facebook fan page.

The memoir explains that Carter won a $100 grand prize when he was 10 years old performing for a crowd of 20 people. When he came home he handed his father the check to celebrate what his talent won them.

2. Being an active gamer

Before Crocodile’s third Masked Singer performance to Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love,” he dropped hints of being a heavy gamer.

A secret source that claims to be a close friend the Crocodile celeb claims they traveled all over the world together and have often stayed up late nights playing video games as Crocodile is a hardcore gamer.

Peep Carter’s Twitter account and fans will he notice he has a link to his Twitch account in his bio. In January 2020, he even asked fans for suggestions to name the account of where he’d be uploading all of his gamer content and it appears he decided to go with PopKidNick.

3. Location references

Crocodile shared that as a kid he grew up in Hollywood. However, there were also clue packages where he has dropped hints with Florida references. After his second performance, Crocodile smashed a piñata where dolphin figurines were inside, a possible reference to the Miami Dolphins.

There was also an image that showed a flag with skulls outside his house. This could be a reference to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers home stadium where there is a similar flag that waves by their home field. Suddenly, there are hints in the debut package that Nicole Scherzinger labeled as Las Vegas vibes.

All these dots connect when thinking about Carter. Carter not only grew up in Florida but he is an avid Buccaneers fan. He even posted a video playfully suggesting he wanted to try out for a backup quarterback job for the squad. The “I Got You” singer’s loyalty toward the team ramped up when he was an adolescent as he performed during the NFL franchise’s halftime shows a part of a youth group.

When Carter was a teen, he would eventually become the Backstreet Boys youngest member and became a teen idol, thus, when he became a Hollywood star.

In 2017, Carter brought a house in Las Vegas and, in 2018, the Backstreet Boys held their “Larger Than Life” residency in Sin City.

If this is not enough to prove that Crocodile is in fact Carter, then think once more about the dolphins clue. It’s probably not just an NFL and home state correlation. The dolphins could be symbolic of when Carter was appointed U.N. ambassador of the Year of Dolphin, back in 2007.

Could this all be a coincidence? Sure, but the clues and the talent fuse to make this pick all but a lock that Crocodile is, in fact, Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys.
