Patrick Wilson confirms that his Ocean Master will return in Aquaman 2
When it comes to the future of the DCEU, we may not have a lot of information. But we do know Aquaman 2 is coming — and now we know Patrick Wilson is returning as well.
We may not have a lot of details about Aquaman 2, but it looks like Patrick Wilson is spilling some of the beans. Thanks to a recent interview for the movie Midway, fans of the actor and the DCEU, were gifted to a little tease about the upcoming sequel, including news that King Orm/Ocean Master will be returning.
While we don’t know exactly what to expect from Aquaman 2, according to Wilson, he has been “briefed” on things related to his character. And if that isn’t an indication of his return, we don’t know what is.
According to Screen Rant, Patrick Wilson revealed in an interview that, out of respect for James Wan, the director of Aquaman, he has held off on pushing for a lot of details when it comes to his character and the storyline for the upcoming sequel. However, Wan apparently did admit to the actor that they were planning to push things even farther than they did before. And, not only that, but there are plans in place for Orm and where he fits in.
At this point, it seems that Wan himself knows what he wants to do but prefers not to reveal anything just yet. But with him telling Wilson that there are plans for Orm, that has to be a good sign when it comes to the actor’s involvement in the sequel.
Considering the events of Aquaman, we will likely see Orm sitting in an Atlantean prison somewhere. Of course, it is always possible that he will do something to get out (either legally or illegally).
It is definitely exciting to know that Patrick Wilson will be reprising his role as King Orm/Ocean Master. After all, he was a dynamic character with a lot of history and heartbreak of his own. Plus, it would be nice to see Aquaman trying to build a relationship with his half-brother — although we definitely do not hold out hope for this one.
