Clary Fray finds out that she’s a Shadowhunter aka someone who is half angel half human after seeing symbols and witnessing a murder no else seems to see. Just like that, the normal life of a teenager is turned upside down and with no explanation, she is thrown into a supernatural world she knows nothing of. After finding that her mother has been kidnapped, Clary must enter the underworld to find her. Clary must venture through the underworld crawling with demons, vampires, and other assorted evils to save her mom. Headey plays Clarys’ mother Jocelyn, who is the source of the Shadowhunter genes and spirit that Clary inherits.
