HBO and Columbia records released a Game of Thrones soundtrack titled “For The Throne,” and you won’t believe how amazing it is.

During the Game of Thrones most recent episode, “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms”, Tyrion Lannister requests music as everyone sits around drinking and waiting out the night for White Walkers. Podrick was the nightingale that volunteered and sang “Jenny Oldstones,” and the song immediately struck the spidey senses of A Song of Ice and Fire fans.

Like the infamous “Rains of Castamere” that was introduced during the Red Wedding, “Jenny Oldstones” is a song that George R.R. Martin often references in his ASOIAF novels as a tune that’s been passed along for ages.

The song became an instant favorite on the net after last week’s episode, and now, a cover by Florence + the Machine is available on the Game of Thrones soundtrack that dropped today.

HBO and Columbia Records released a Game of Thrones inspired soundtrack called For the Throne that features artists across a wide array of musical genres. The musical arrangements are phenomenal and have a flair of Thrones influence with fitting titles such as “Power is Power”, “Kingdom of One” and “Too Many Gods.”

For the Throne the soundtrack is currently available for streaming on Spotify and Apple music. But Game of Thrones collectors will get a kick out of the exclusive soundtrack vinyl records that feature house sigils on the album covers.
