Scarlet Witch and Vision series

Once rumored as a standalone Scarlet Witch series, the Scarlet Witch and Vision series could incorporate some horrifying themes in a literal sense. As That Hashtag Show notes, the series is rumored to draw inspiration from Tom King’s comic run at The Vision.

Seeing as The Vision features a few macabre death scenes, and horror overtones, the general theme could be a refreshing change from the typical genres in the MCU. King’s run doesn’t include Wanda, so the Disney+ series could replace Vision’s synthetic wife with Wanda. However, we hope the series doesn’t befall the replaceable woman trope.

Granted, inspiration is a vague term, especially in the context of a rumor. The series could instead draw similar horror and suspenseful elements from King’s comic with a different conflict entirely. In a universe of Skrulls, Celestials, and impending new villains, we feel like the Scarlet Witch and Vision series won’t have a problem choosing a new subject matter to turn into a horrifying limited series.

The series doesn’t necessarily need to depend on Wanda and Vision getting resurrected from the snap (though they’ll likely be saved at the end of Avengers: Endgame). The series could focus on their relationship before Infinity War initially kicked off. It could be a dark side story before the couple returns to the current MCU timeline.
