Black and floral print dress
We love black dresses, whether plain or with a print, as they can be worn for so many occasions. Whether you are looking to dress up for a dinner date or have somewhere special to be, black dresses are a wardrobe staple.
What I love about this dress is that the red flowers give it just the right pop without being too much. It also helps that this one has short sleeves, which I always consider a plus. Add in the simple black sandals she is wearing, and you have the perfect look for nearly any occasion. I mean, this is the kind of dress you could even wear on a Saturday when you want to look good and feel good.
While we may not be able to snag the exact dress that Emily Blunt wore to Variety‘s Power of Women, there are actually a few options that could work and give us a similar look. And since I am a fan of sleeves, the dresses I chose are all sleeved, whether long or short. This is honestly one of those looks that I would wear for more than just a special occasion. In fact, I would have to say I would wear this as a summer dress (but that may have to do with the fact my entire closet is black with very few pops of color).
The first option is this Tobi Black Midi Dress. This dress has a relatively simple floral print like the one on Blunt’s dress. And while it is not quite as long as the dress the actress is wearing it still has the same flow to the skirt. Reduced to $59 from $118 at the time of this writing, this dress is a steal.
Another stunning option is the Fashion Union Petite Maxi Dress in Dobby Floral over at ASOS. While the floral is a bit more pronounced, it is still simple enough to give you the same vibe as the one the actress wore. And the fact it has short sleeves and hits at the ankles means that you are getting a dress slightly more like the one Blunt wore. At $60, this dress is definitely budget friendly, while also giving you a look that is versatile.
