Play games
When it comes to having fun at home, the one thing you want to do is play games. And while there are plenty of options out there for those of us who love nerdy games, we have a few fun suggestions we think will kick your party up a notch.
Some of our favorite games that would be perfect for NYE include Cards Against Humanity, Unstable Unicorns (this game is one of my new favorites and I have the expansion packs to prove it), and even Harry Potter Trivial Pursuit. Any of these games are going to be a great way to have fun while letting multiple people play at a time.
What to wear
While we can’t pick your clothes for you, we can offer some suggestions. And we think it could be fun to have a theme for your party so that everyone can rock their favorite character’s look. You could even make it a Marvel themed party or a more general superhero theme. With plenty of options out there for clothing inspired by some of our favorite fandoms, we think you could have a lot of fun with a themed New Year’s Eve party.
What to eat and drink
Even your NYE celebration food and drinks can have a nerdy twist. From wines that scream Lord of the Rings, to snacks and sweet treats that are all about our love for Disney, there are plenty of options when it comes to stocking your refreshments table. What to watch
Another great way to ring in the New Year is with a movie marathon. And what better movies to do that with than with some of our favorite nerdy movies. You could go with superheroes or Harry Potter (we are always down for an HP marathon), to stick with an overall party theme.
