Chris Pratt confirms when he’ll start filming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has a tentative filming date, according to Chris Pratt. It also confirms some theories about the MCU post-Infinity War.
If you still had any doubts that Chris Pratt might be missing from the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie, think again. We might have been led astray in Infinity War because (spoiler alert) Star-Lord and pretty much all the other Guardians blew away in the breeze, but like the Terminator, they’ll be back.
Plans for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 have already been in the works, with the movie having a tentative release date of May 2020. Nothing has been set in stone yet, but it lines up with what Chris Pratt has to say about the movie’s filming schedule.
Pratt, in an interview with MTV International, revealed that the not only will the movie be shooting in January 2019, but he’s scheduled to start shooting that January. He wasn’t willing to say what happens to Peter Quill after Infinity War, but at least he was nice enough to let us know he’s not gone forever.
Although, this news isn’t completely shocking. The biggest mystery surrounding Avengers 4 isn’t what will happen now that everyone’s died; it’s how are we going to get back everyone who died.
Plus, the Guardians cast has been pretty big on breaking those not-so-secret spoilers. Before, Pratt pretty confirmed that Mantis would be returning for Guardians 3. And just recently, Drax’s Dave Bautista also confirmed he’s in Avengers 4 and Guardians 3.
The ever-so-talented Jeff Goldblum is also on the press tour with his Jurassic World and MCU co-star. Goldblum couldn’t say much about his involvement with the next MCU films, but he teased that it would be cool if we saw a scene with The Grandmaster together with his brother, The Collector. We’re crossing our fingers that it’ll actually happen.

Here’s to hoping that the Russo brothers (and even James Gunn) aren’t pulling their hair out right now. These are just tiny, baby spoilers that most people probably saw coming anyway.
