Saturday Night Live season 43 finale live stream: Watch online
This is it: the last Saturday Night Live of season 43. Nicki Minaj and Tina Fey will be on hand to perform and host, respectively.
Honestly, this Saturday is kind of a banner day. First off, we had the royal wedding of the newly-minted Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and then tonight, we’re heading into early Sunday morning with none other than Saturday Night Live, as hosted by Tina Fey with Nicki Minaj performing as the musical guest.
To be more specific, it’s the season 43 finale as well, so we expect the show to go all out with at least one royal wedding sketch. There’s no way the show didn’t plan on parodying a moment that had people staying up to all hours just to watch it all unfold live, right?
Hey, wait a minute, that’s probably the sketch.
Anyway, beyond that, we’ll expect one last Weekend Update as well as probably another political sketch, just because that’s what SNL has really been nailing lately. Whether or not Alec Baldwin will be back as a certain chief executive remains to be seen, but it’s definitely not out of the question. As per usual, there’s a lot to pick from when it comes to writing a sketch based on the current political goings-on in America.
Although we’re still not sure Fey was the best choice for the finale, especially after Donald Glover’s episode a couple weeks back, we know that it’ll almost certainly be a solid show just based on her comedy skills.
As for Nicki Minaj, we’d expect her to perform at least one of her two newest songs, “Chun-Li” or “Barbie Tingz,” if not both since musical guests usually get two times to shine per episode. She could also surprise us and break out one of her classics, though, or even debut a new song tonight just to keep things exciting.
