Who she is: Assassin’s Creed usually has male protagonists, but that’s changed over the past few years. Several women have been a main character in games, and my favorite is Evie Frye. She is a master assassin for the British Brotherhood in the Victorian era. During Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, you switch between Evie and Jacob Frye, her younger twin brother. After their father’s death, the twins come to London to demolish the Templar presence and help the poor districts as much as possible. Her main objective is to obtain the shroud of Eden, an artifact from the First Civilization.

Why she’s on the list: As a master assassin, Evie is more than capable of handling herself in a fight. Whether she uses her fists or her weapon of choice, the cane sword, Evie effortlessly and violently takes down any opponent in her way. She trains to be unseen and unheard, which makes her a deadly enemy to any foe. While Jacob is more spontaneous, Evie firmly believes in the Brotherhood’s teachings and follows them to the letter. She’ll create a plan and wait until the perfect moment to execute it. Evie Frye is calculated with her blade as well as her mind, which makes her a true master assassin.
