Although most shows are on winter hiatus, Gunpowder is here to fill three winter nights with intrigue. Here’s how to watch the premiere online.
It’s been a rough season for TV this winter. Most shows are already off until the new year, if not later (looking at you, Supergirl), so it’s like you’re practically destined to watch reruns or cable TV or maybe finally start working on that Netflix watchlist … or you could skip all that and watch Gunpowder on HBO, which HBO hopes that you do to justify bringing it over from the U.K.
As you’re here, you’re definitely interested in watching Gunpowder, and, to summarize the quite long synopsis, it basically will involve the agents of the king trying to thwart the plans of Kit Harington’s Robert Catesby as well as Guy Fawkes, which they’re trying to do in retaliation for persecution of Catholics.
We’re not necessarily in the medieval period, but it’s definitely possible to make at least one joke about it. Please feel free to prep your own before you see ours with our review tomorrow morning of the first episode — and a preview of episode 2, of course!
