Outlander season 3, episode 5: Watch online

Cue the romantic music: Claire is FINALLY going into that print-shop in this week’s “Freedom & Whisky.”

It seems safe to say that the previous four episodes of Outlander have just been a preamble to “Freedom & Whisky.” That’s fair, right? This is the episode that finally reunites Claire and Jamie and sets the series back on its feminist romance track. As interesting as it is to see a marriage completely fall apart over two decades or to witness just how Jamie is going to outrun death this time, Outlander is defined by its central couple. When Claire and Jamie are separated, things just feel off. That’s probably the writers’ intention, but I’m over it. In case I haven’t been clear, I want our heroes back together post-haste.

And Starz, for the love of Murtagh, please don’t delay the reunion until the very end of the episode. Four episodes has already been too long — especially when they involve Bree and Roger.

Speaking of Not Claire and Not Jamie, they’re apparently in “Freedom & Whisky” as well, according to TV Guide:

"Brianna grapples with life-changing revelations and Claire must help her come to terms with the fact that she is her father’s daughter. Meanwhile, Roger brings news that forces Claire and Brianna to face an impossible choice."

It looks like Roger tracks the Randalls down in Boston and is the bearer of bad news. Hey, maybe he discovered some ancient pagan diary that reveals women can travel through time at their leisure as long as they leave their annoying daughters at home? One can dream…
