Recap

Jack and Rebecca get into a fight when Jack drives drunk to a venue in Cleveland, where Rebecca is set to perform with her band. Rebecca’s ex-boyfriend, Ben, tries to kiss her, and Jack punches him. Rebecca angrily leaves before performing and drives Jack back home the same evening.

We learn through flashbacks that Jack bets all of his savings during an underground poker game. He wins big but is robbed the same night in the parking lot. Rebecca is trying to make it as a singer before she meets Jack, and her friends want her to forgo singing, find a husband, and start a family. Jack plans to rob a bartender to get his money back but is distracted by Rebecca performing on stage.

Flash forward to the present of their story. Rebecca asks Jack to move out the morning after the night in Cleveland. That’s where we left off with that couple.
