Game of Thrones season 7, episode 4: Who will die?

Game of Thrones killed off a few fan favorites in episode three of the show’s seventh season last week. So, who will meet their demise this time around?

Major characters on Game of Thrones this season had been largely safe up until the last episode. In episode three—spoiler alert—we bid a fond, mic-dropping farewell to Lady Olenna, and said goodbye to Ellaria Sand (she didn’t die before our eyes, but we’re pretty sure she won’t be returning).

Now that the main character-killing floodgates have been opened, it’s time to consider who might not make it past episode 4. Here are a few educated guesses:

Grey Worm

Officially caught between a (Casterly) Rock and a hard place, Grey Worm and the Unsullied are trapped without food nor support. And with Euron and his Iron Fleet currently sieging the seat of House Lannister, in addition to a sexy goodbye with Missendrei, Grey Worm might finally reunite with Barristan Selmy.

Bronn

Bronn made his first (brief) appearance this season during last week’s episode, and we’re hoping that this week isn’t his last. Currently in The Reach, Highgarden may very well be the castle that Jaime promised Bronn so long ago. However, GoT has taught us that just when things go well for a character, they immediately get their head smashed. And by the look of his face in the image above, things are going to take a turn for the worse, quickly.

Randyll or Dickon Tarly

We didn’t specify because either one affects the storyline in different and interesting ways. If Randyll dies, that’s a huge blow to the Lannisters after a few immediate victories in the war against Dany and Co. Additionally, Sam might have more sway with his younger brother than he did with his father. On the other hand, Dickon might be better at hunting deer than he is at hunting dragons.

Yara

We want to believe that Yara will live through this week. We want to believe that Euron will use her as bait for her brother in the coming weeks. We want to believe that she will play a pivotal role in Theon achieving redemption, saving her from the developing evil that is their uncle.

But this is GoT, and everyone is on the chopping block. And as the only remaining prisoner to make it through last week, Yara’s claim as Queen of the Iron Islands may just be her undoing as Euron moves to consolidate power.

Littlefinger

The hard cut to Lord Baelish at mention of the treasure trove of raven messages in episode three can’t be ignored. Clearly, there’s something in the rookery that Sansa is meant to find that reveals more about Littlefinger’s intentions than he has ever let on. A few images we noticed in the trailer that suggest Petyr’s time is up:

  1. Sansa reading important notes
  2. Arya approaching Winterfell
  3. Brienne swinging a sword like an executioner
  4. The Valyrian steel dagger used during Bran’s assassination attempt, that got Tyrion captured, which Littlefinger used to betray Ned, that was pointed out in the important book Sam was reading, is in this episode.
