It completely nailed the buildup and rising tension of the first season and previous three episodes in one hour of fire-breathing, new-hat-finding and sister-kissing goodness!

Is Melanie Scrofano an amazing and wonderful actress? Yes. They all are. But damn, I really wish she didn’t play that scene so well. It’s like a Catch-22 because I’m squeamish, but I also don’t want to miss out on her Emmy-worthy facial expressions.

The demon (goo or whatever it is) made it really clear as to why it chose to move to Wynonna, and if you think about it, it’s incredibly sad. It outright said that Wynonna was weaker, which is an insecurity she’s been beating back her entire life. She’s struggled to rise above the situation in every single step she’s taken, and now, the goo’s just dragging her down. Most likely, it’s going to make her do a lot of things she doesn’t want to do, so she’s going to have that much more to deal with when she tries to sleep at night. It’s truly awful.
