Arrow s5ep22 “Missing” synopsis + live stream: Watch online
By Amy Woolsey
Black Siren returns in the penultimate episode of Arrow season 5, and it looks intense. Catch all the action using our handy viewing guide.
We knew something was fishy. Last week, Team Arrow celebrated a victory when Adrian Chase appeared to surrender, allowing A.R.G.U.S. to take him into custody. However, a chilling shot of the former District Attorney smirking in his cell validated our fears.
This is far from over.
What does Chase have up his sleeve? The synopsis for this week’s episode, “Missing”, gives us an idea of what to expect:
"BLACK SIREN RETURNS – Black Siren (guest star Katie Cassidy) returns to help Chase (Josh Segarra). Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) organizes a birthday party for Oliver (Stephen Amell) while Lance (Paul Blackthorne) is furious after Rene (Rick Gonzalez) misses the custody hearing for his daughter."
First, Laurel Lance is back! Well, her morally dubious Earth-2 doppelgänger is, anyway. We left Black Siren in A.R.G.U.S. custody after she resisted Oliver’s efforts to bring her to the light. Not coincidentally, Chase is being held by A.R.G.U.S. too. The sizzle reel released in April teases a face-off between Black Siren and the new Black Canary, Dinah Drake.
She’s not the only familiar face. Malcolm Merlyn will also return, following his stint on Legends of Tomorrow.
All this would be exciting if we weren’t so nervous. The trailer for “Missing” tells us a couple of things: 1) the episode title refers to Dinah and Curtis, and 2) we should be very worried about the latter. But they wouldn’t kill off Curtis just one season after making actor Echo Kellum a regular, right? Right?!
Honestly, I’d hate for anyone on the team to die except maybe Quentin, whose time has seemed on the verge of running out for three seasons.
On the bright side, it’s Oliver’s birthday! We’re sure that will end well.
