Surprise! Sherlock’s Season Finale Has Leaked onto the Internet

If you absolutely can’t wait to see Sherlock’s “The Final Problem” tonight, it appears that a copy of the episode has already made its way online.

American fans still have a few hours to wait before Sherlock airs its fourth series finale on PBS tonight. However, it’s now entirely possible to watch the episode online already. That’s according to a report from the BBC itself. Apparently, a Russian version exists online and presumably can be pirated. In fact, the show’s official Twitter page has even tweeted about it already:

“If you come across it, please do not share it. #KeepMeSpoilerFree,” reads the latter half of the tweet. Now, episodes leaking isn’t that uncommon. HBO itself accidentally leaked an episode of Game of Thrones just this past season. What is interesting is that Sherlock and the BBC even deigned to acknowledge that it happened. One suspects that there is definitely a small subset of fans who will just watch the episode to find out just what that oh-so-mysterious final problem is.

However, should you manage to keep yourself spoiler-free until the episode actually airs legally in the States — or legally in Britain, for our readers across the pond — truly you have managed a great feat, and we’re sure you’ll benefit from having plenty of people to talk about it with on social media as it airs live.

Until then, may we suggest that you take a look at the trailer for “The Final Problem”? Or try and come up with a poem in response to Mark Gatiss’ poem? (Yes, he really did write a poem in response to criticism.)

You could also probably get through both of this season’s other episodes for a Sherlock mini-marathon.

And, of course, if you end up away from your TV, you can check here on Culturess for a full recap after the episode airs.
