If there's one thing we can count on from DC, it's making a great animated show. Whether it's Batman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, or Teen Titans, there are plenty of older shows to choose from.

In the 2020s, things seemed to stall out until we got the animated Harley Quinn series. While kids got hooked on Teen Titans Go!, a lot of us stayed inside and watched Harley Quinn. Eventually, the show helped give us Kite Man: Hell Yeah! which recently wrapped its first season.

While Kite Man: Hell Yeah! could have been corny, the show was anything but. While Kite Man isn't exactly the most well-known or coolest character, the series made him even more likable and gave him a chance at love which most of us were hoping for. We all knew that Harley and Ivy were going to be the endgame.

Now that season 1 of Kite Man: Hell Yeah! is fully released, most of us are eager to see if the show will be renewed for season 2. If DC needs an extra push, I'm here to give that to them because the series ended on such a high note.

These 4 reasons are enough to get Kite Man: Hell Yeah! a season 2.

1. We need more of Kite Man and Golden Glider's romance!

While I've already waxed poetic about how the great romance between Kite Man (Chuck) and Golden Glider (Lisa,) I will say it again. These two have the most adorable and wholesome romance. It's clear they love each other and have a lot of respect for each other. Kite Man never seems to get the respect he deserves, but Golden Glider makes sure he gets all the love and appreciation he needs.

Seeing the two of them go through so much in season 1 makes me want to see what they'll go through in season 2. These two underwent so much and their relationship was truly put to the test so here's hoping wedding bells are in their future.

2. The finale of season 1 left so many unanswered questions

If you watched the season 1 finale of Kite Man: Hell Yeah!, then you can't deny just how great that finale was. There was one plotline that I'm sure none of us saw coming yet it happened. The way it played out in the last moments of the episode gave viewers a lot to consider. How would that character pop back up in the series and would they end up being as diabolic as the finale made them seem?

Aside from what happened with that character, there are a few other characters we'd love to know more about and storylines that can be explored in the future.

3. The show was truly better than expected

This next reason might be entirely selfish, but I didn't have the highest of hopes when going into Kite Man: Hell Yeah! I knew that it was from the team behind Harley Quinn so I shouldn't have been so negative. Even so, the series absolutely blew me out of the water with just how good it was. There was so much action, humor, romance, and truly all the hallmarks of a good animated TV series.

Coupled with the incredible voice cast and characters we got introduced to, Kite Man: Hell Yeah! has a bit of something for everyone. Whether you're there for the romance, love action, or just want something fun to pass the time, then Kite Man: Hell Yeah! fits the bill.

4. Bane is finally getting the spotlight he rightfully deserves

Once again, this last reason is another selfish one yet I adored how Kite Man: Hell Yeah! portrayed Bane's character. On Harley Quinn, Bane never gets as much respect or screen time as he should yet Kite Man: Hell Yeah! changes that. Not only is Bane known as Kite Man's best friend but he ends up having a larger part in the storyline with Golden Glider's mother. I don't want to get into too much detail with that one, but it made for a nice change of pace for Bane.

I've talked before about how Bane deserves a partner and I stand by that. Whether he gets a partner or not, he's such a fun character and is someone I always look forward to seeing in each episode. Plus the addition of Goldilocks gives him more to focus on and allows for more Bane-centric storylines so who can complain about that?

All in all, season 1 of Kite Man: Hell Yeah! has too many ongoing storylines for DC to pull the plug on it but we'll see what happens. Considering that James Gunn has an appreciation for animation, we can only hope that Kite Man: Hell Yeah! flies straight into a season 2 renewal.

Season 1 of Kite Man: Hell Yeah! is currently streaming on Max.
