All American: Homecoming Canceled At The CW Network
Another drama hits the chopping block as The CW Network once again cancels another series. This time, All American: Homecoming is the unfortunate series that has been canceled before its third season has even begun to air.
All American: Homecoming's upcoming third season, premiering on Monday, July 8th, will be its last, and hopefully, the show's third season was written toward some type of closure, even if it is too early to say goodbye to these characters and their home at Bringston.
Although All American: Homecoming was able to create a solid found family dynamic in the Bringston group, the series was never quite able to remove itself from the shadow of its flagship series, All American, which was recently renewed for a seventh season.
All American: Homecoming had already taken casting hits going into its third season following its renewal when Peyton Alex Smith and Kelly Jenrette stepped down as series regulars.
The drama initially relied on Simone Hicks to step out of a supporting role on All American to take the lead in All American: Homecoming. Surrounding her was a new group of athletes and performers that helped elevate her college experience as she strove to find her identity at the university.
Following Simone and Jordan's break-up, there has been no reason for any more crossovers between the two connected shows, and the idea that any potentially unresolved storylines may find closure on All American might be bleak. Without any remaining strong connection between the two shows, hopefully, All American: Homecoming crafted a season finale that at least offers a sense of excitement for the future or closure for the series, even if it was not written with the intent of acting as the show's series ending.
Tune in to see the final episodes of All American: Homecoming to see how their story ends.
