All American Renewed For Season 7 (And The CW Renews Another Series As Well)

As The CW Network has shown itself to be a host to many uncertain futures of its shows, such as Walker's recent cancellation. However, All American's victories on the field seem to be working in real life, too, as The CW Network has decided to renew the football drama for a seventh season.

There are plenty of main storylines that are reaching their natural conclusions, including Spencer's draft to the NFL, Olivia publishing her first novel, Coop's development into a lawyer, Jordan and Layla's wedding, and Asher's career path of being a coach.

Season six has been very clear about the direction it is taking the show, as Spencer's football career is becoming closer by the day. With his decision to graduate early, it will be exciting to see how All American's seventh season decides to use its characters or if there will be new introductions made as the established series regulars prepare to make potential exits with their futures so close.

The CW Network had already acknowledged All American's importance to the schedule when the network offered season six additional episodes. Season seven could certainly take the series in a multitude of directions if it decides to enter a longer time skip to find the main characters in young adulthood, similar to how Pretty Little Liars, Riverdale, and One Tree Hill tried to keep storylines fresh after the main characters graduated from high school.

All American has done a phenomenal job in making the shift from high school to college, a transition that does not work well for every show that attempts it. But, depending on if season seven is a strive for longevity or a season of closure and a solid send-off for the beloved characters and storylines, anything could happen.

The CW Network also renewed Penn & Teller: Fool Us, an unscripted show which will be going into its eleventh season.
