New Beginnings, Closure, and a Wedding on All American

Grace and D’Angelo’s wedding has finally arrived, but everyone must first get through the night before. As the wedding approaches, it is a time to acknowledge and celebrate new beginnings for Grace and D’Angelo as they prepare to get married, enjoying their respective bachelorette and bachelor parties. However, while their wedding is a significant event, it also plays as a backdrop to the intricacies of other relationships.

Following the path of new beginnings, Jordan and Layla continue their secret relationship behind closed doors. While they are more than happy together, Layla continues to fear the judgemental reactions from the vortex. Rather than force her, Jordan entirely supports Layla, not pushing her into anything she is not ready for.

Although they discuss hitting the breaks and slowing down, they move forward even further, sleeping together after the ceremony. Rather than regret anything, Layla and Jordan grow closer with the agreement to continue to keep their relationship private until they are ready to face their friends.

However, things may get tricky now that JJ recalls the couple he had seen the other night was Jordan and Layla.

Meanwhile, Olivia and Spencer are forced to confront the emotional fallout of their breakup when Coop reveals Spencer has hooked up with someone else. Things have been strange enough, with both of them more than aware that their relationship did not end because they fell out of love.

But, rather than fight, Spencer makes it clear that he has not moved on from Olivia, even if it seems he has taken steps to. Spencer and Olivia sleep together the night before the ceremony, which Olivia later refers to as a moment of closure.

“Turn Down For What” also hinted at a new start for Grace and her sister, LaReesha, after years of animosity and conflict.
