In the Dark seems to have found new ways to mess with Murphy and her friends
When it comes to The CW‘s In the Dark, there are a few things we can count on. And one of those things is that Murphy knows how to rack up enemies.
But the thing about the latest enemy coming after Murphy and her friends is that it’s actually not her fault. In fact, it’s not really any of their faults. The problem is in the identities they were given when they tried to leave for Canada.
In “Pretty in Pink,” which is episode seven of the third season we learn a surprising and dangerous truth. It seems that the person who gave them their new identities for Canada has been recycling identities. That means that Murphy, Max, Jess, and Felix were all given identities of people who were trying to escape just like they were. And since they were in trouble with their own identities, it makes sense that whoever’s identities they took also was in trouble.
So what does this mean? It means that whoever is after Jess is not actually taking her as Jess, but rather as the identity she took on.
In the Dark proves that trying to escape trouble can lead to even more danger
Honestly, this makes perfect sense, but it also means that now they need to figure out who has Jess, based on the identity she has assumed. It also means that we now need to figure out if Murphy, Max, and Felix are in the same level of danger.
Considering what happened in “Pretty in Pink,” I doubt we will see Josiah coming after them again, but that still leaves the people their new identities are running from and the police. And we already know that the police are going to be coming hard for Murphy.
At this point, trouble is coming from everywhere, and some of that trouble may show up unexpectedly. Talk about really being in the dark!
