As the year 2020 draws to a close, we’re honoring some of the movies, television series, and music that helped us get through the past twelve months.

As we enter the final day of 2020, a year we’re all happy to forget, we’re taking a look at some of the films, television series, and music that helped us survive the year. From reality television guilty pleasures to the return of some of our favorite musicians, this year saw a renaissance of sorts in the entertainment industry. As people struggled with unemployment, a global pandemic, and to just plain live at times, we needed all of the distractions and escapism we could get.

The entertainment industry had to adapt to be a little creative this year, as many award shows and red carpet premieres were either canceled completely or swapped for online virtual events. So we, as fans, adapted as well, anticipating the release of binge-worthy new seasons of shows or films that completed production prior to the pandemic, and joining Instagram Live chats with our favorite artists.

This year more than ever, people turned to entertainment for comfort. We’re taking a look back at some of the best pop culture moments from films, television, and music, that helped us get to 2021.
