When it comes to whimsical fashion and unique looks, Betsey Johnson is one of the first designers who comes to mind. And in 2020, she is the designer we need for more than just looking good.

For our final Fashion Friday of 2020, we can’t help but look for a brand that stands out from the crowd. And that is exactly what Betsey Johnson does with her eclectic designs and super cute pieces.

While you might not think of Betsey Johnson when it comes to the more trendy looks that sweep the fashion world every year, there is something about her designs that keeps us coming back for more. From adorable pieces of jewelry to handbags made to look like some of our favorite things, and even their collaboration with Torrid, here is a brand that is always thinking outside of the box.

Who wouldn’t want a fashionable representation of their love for the Pumpkin Spice Latte? Over the last few years Betsey Johnson has given us handbags that look like our favorite PSL and even pieces of jewelry too.

And at the holidays, what other designer is giving us Gingerbread people as earrings and necklaces or little snow people? We’ll wait.

Even the clothing designs are fun and vibrant, offering pops of color and even calls back to a more carefree time. So of course, when we learned about the collaboration between Betsey Johnson and Torrid this year, we were thrilled because it allows the brand to be even more inclusive than ever before.

Whether it is jewelry, handbags, or a fun and flirty dress/top/shoes, Betsey Johnson is always delivering what we want and need. At the same time, after a year that saw so many of us struggling and looking for things to make us smile, there is something about a brand that doesn’t seem to take itself too seriously, delivers some of the cutest designs, and that is high quality without being overly expensive that really seems to be the perfect fit for 2020.

Perhaps it is me, but I am always here for adorable mummy bear earrings, dangling ladybug earrings, PSL purses, and looks that are over the top without being ridiculous. I love every piece of Betsey Johnson I own, and every time I come across something new and cute, it not only makes me smile, but I feel like I have to add it to my collection.

Whether you love the brand because of their use of color or because they offer whimsical designs, there are so many reasons to enjoy Betsey Johnson as a designer. But for me, it is the fact that even in a year where we were hunting for things to bring joy to our lives, there was always a reason to smile when finding a cute gem from this brand. And yes, the entire collection at Torrid is on my wish list, what about you?
