Tom & Jerry – March 5, 2021

After the success of Detective Pikachu and Sonic the Hedgehogit appears the trend of bringing classic animated characters to life with a live-action cast isn’t going anywhere. Warner Bros. will tackle Tom & Jerry with this new format, and dare we suggest the new film doesn’t look all that terrible?

We’ll find out for sure when the pair heads to the city — and HBO Max — in March. Chloë Grace Moretz stars in the film, and talent like Rob Delaney, Michael Peña, Colin Jost, and Ken Jeong promise to deliver fun performances that may just revamp interest in these characters for a new generation of viewers.

Reminiscence – April 16, 2021

Lisa Joy’s directorial debut, Reminiscence is a science-fiction film with a stacked cast that includes Hugh Jackman, Thandie Newton, Rebecca Ferguson, Daniel Wu, and Cliff Curtis. The movie will tackle the very real threat of global warming, with a story that’s set in a Miami that’s almost entirely underwater.

It’s not the level of blockbuster we’re used to this time of year, but it will add some action and suspense to our content viewing — and well, that’s certainly better than nothing!
