The Giraffe stumped every judge. Garth Brooks, Travis Barker, and Vanilla Ice were the most outrageous guesses for the character.

The judges thought they were picking up stream finding correlations with clues such as the performer being linked to Megan Fox, which is why Ken Jeong made the bold statement his fellow Transformers colleague, Shia LaBeouf, was The Girafee. Nicole Sherzinger was confident it was Dale Earnhardt Jr. — knowing his family survived a plane crash and making a case that the number eight was a tell of his NASCAR vehicle number. Jenny McCarthy saw a green apple and immediately said the connection was to a surname but guessed comedian Seth Green.

Guest judge Joel McHale came the closest. Seeing a peach, he immediately thought the Peach Pit, a hangout spot on the popular Beverly Hills 90210 television series. That said, he locked in his pick with the series’ leading actor, Jason Priestley, rather than co-star Brian Austin Green. After the unveiling, Brian Austin let the judges hear it.

“You guys were all so close but so far off,” Austin said.

Robin Thicke admitted to the judging panel after The Giraffe’s debut performance: “Do you guys ever, ever have it where you know you’ve heard the voice before? I know sooner or later the face will come to me.”

It turns out the ”Blurred Lines” singer couldn’t recognize his childhood best friend. Austin conveyed he tossed in an image on his clue package with a robin on his shoulder to give his friend the inside track. Once neighbors, they shared that as teenagers Thicke tagged along with Austin to the set of Beverly Hills 90210 and, as kids, they once formed a music group named Think Twice.

The former child actor completely stumped the judges and will have his shot to see if he can do better. The former reoccurring star on Desperate Housewives will be one of the judges on FOX’s upcoming The Masked Singer spin-off, The Masked Dancer.

“It was nice being in a situation where nobody knew who I was. I like The Giraffe, I like the humanity in his eyes,” Austin said and looked his mask into the eyes, adding, “Goodbye, my friend. You have been an interesting experience.”
