Bob Saget as Squiggly Monster

The second contestant in Group C to be unmasked was none other than comedian Bob Saget. The Grammy Award-nominated comic had the judges going back and forth while guessing his identity, throwing out names like comic Ray Romano, politician Al Franken, Dr. Fauci, and rapper Kaine from the Ying Yang Twins.

Both Robin Thicke and Jenny McCarthy indicated in their “first-impression guess” that this masked singer was in fact the former television actor behind Danny Tanner on Full House. Clues that referenced the White House and doctor hints had the judges second-guessing the decision, however. Guest judge and season two The Masked Singer winner Wayne Brady explained that Saget hosted a variety show that, like many shows of that genre, made fun of politics.

As far as the doctor clues, Saget actually had aspirations to become a doctor when he was in high school before a teacher suggested he consider tapping into his creative side to become an entertainer. That is a suggestion millions of his fans are thankful for, as he has definitely made a name for himself as a comedian, television host, and director.

Saget described the Squiggly Monster costume as a “sweatbox,” but after two performances, he has become attached to it, saying, “I am very bonded with it. He’s funny, he’s lovable, and he’s like a big stuffed animal. And he’s yet…kind of bad.”
