5. First Class Experience

The Wendy Williams Show host explained reps from the FOX reality show called her manager, and when word got to her The Masked Singer was interested in having her join season four’s lineup, she accepted.

“I have been watching the show since season one and I love the banter between the judges, and also Nick [Cannon],” Williams said (Cannon is a friend of her talk show).

One of the things she learned quickly was the show offered a “first class experience.” When the New Yorker had to fly out to Los Angeles she said there was a car outside her house that drove her to a luxurious private plane — “this is not me, this is The Masked Singer. This is how they do,” she told her live studio audience.

When she arrived in Los Angeles, the show allowed her to pick what hotel and what hotel room she wanted to stay in, all expenses paid. The royalty treatment would continue when she stepped on set as they constantly fed her and kept her hydrated to the point where Williams said she had to start declining the refreshments: “I said ‘no, I can’t drink anymore, I can’t eat anymore, otherwise, something might happen and I don’t want to stop production.’”

“It’s a first class situation there,” Williams said.
