4. The Babysitter

Short Sell: Sometimes staying up late is a bad idea. And in The Babysitter, one boy learns just how bad when he learns that his babysitter is part of a cult and they have some plans for him that don’t sound fun.

I actually really enjoyed this movie, even though it could easily be considered campy or corny or any other less than thrilling description. It was fun and on the heels of A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting, why wouldn’t we want to see more Halloween magic with a babysitter at the helm.

Netflix describes:

"When Cole stays up past his bedtime, he discovers that his hot babysitter is part of a satanic cult that will stop at nothing to keep him quiet."

3. The Babysitter: Killer Queen

Short Sell: I had to include The Babysitter: Killer Queen on this list as it is a sequel to The Babysitter and it was actually just as much fun as the original. Not only do we see the return of some characters from the first movie that we may not have expected to see, but overall this one lives up to the spooky drama of the original cult offerings.

This is horror-comedy that feels like it was done right and that’s definitely in line with what we enjoyed the first time around. And this time, while he may not need babysitting, Cole is about to deal with some babysitters from his past anyway.

Netflix describes:

"Two years after Cole survived a satanic blood cult, he’s living another nightmare: high school. And the demons from his past? Still making his life hell."
