For the ultimate Halloween hotel escape, the Black Monarch is the spookiest haunted hotel.

If you are willing to book a room, the Black Monarch is the ultimate Halloween hotel escape. Considered one of the United States’ most haunted lodgings, the boutique hotel located in a Colorado mining town is more than just a spooky getaway. The stories hidden in the walls could be as memorable as the themed rooms.

Whether or not you believe in ghosts, stories from the past often add a little panache to a hotel stay. Many locations around the world believe they have special guests roaming the halls. From unfortunate souls who never checked out to locals looking to share their story, these real-life haunted mansions are spookier than the Disney theme park ride.

If you are looking for the ultimate Halloween hotel escape, the Black Monarch boutique hotel is a great option. While the amenities in the boutique hotel are exquisite, many people go for the stories and the themed rooms. A converted former Wild West brothel, guests have heard and seen former guests lurking in the shadows.

Although the hotel is known for its serial-killer-themed rooms, there is a new reason to book a visit. The newest of these rooms is based on Bela Lugosi’s Dracula.

According to the hotel’s owner and designer Adam Zimmerli, “We are very proud to be working directly with the Lugosi Estate and are excited to highlight Bela Lugosi’s legacy at the Black Monarch.” The room will be under the “official license of LUGOSI LLC.”

The Lugosi Dracula set the standard for movie vampires. While that classic Count Dracula might be forever etched into movie history, the horror fans are looking to immerse themselves into that classic monster world.

According to the hotel, the Dracula themed room will feature a 15-foot photorealistic mural of Bela Lugosi. For many people, this image is the ideal image to send them to dreamland and wake them in the morning. Although the beds will be quite comfortable, a night’s stay does not come with eternal slumber.

The new Bela Lugosi room is part of the extensive Balck Monarch renovation. While it offers luxury amenities, the overall theme is dark and gothic. Even though this location might have been a bustling brothel and saloon, it now has a more sinister side.

Currently, the hotel rooms are themed after various serial killers. With other oddities and curiosities located throughout the hotel, a stay at this location is not for the faint of heart. But, for the haunted enthusiast, a stay will be a spooky adventure.

Black Monarch is located at 301 Victor Ave, Victor, CO 80860. For more information and to book a room, please visit its website.
