In Revenge of the Tooth Fairy, Universal Orlando gives a twisted take on the classic tale.

From the Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights creative team, Revenge of the Tooth Fairy turns a sweet childhood tradition into a dark, complicated tale. Yet again, Universal Orlando knows what scares you.

While children dream of a present exchanged for that lost tooth, the wicked story behind that classic tale is far more haunting. Although fairies can be spry and mischievous, this particular fairy has something more sinister waiting. Could the Revenge of the Tooth Fairy keep you awake?

This original story haunted house seems to build on the popular concepts from years past. As seen in Scary Tales, those bedtime stories may not have the happiest endings. While the brothers Grimm had a dark side, Halloween Horror Nights has a foggy side — and people are ready to step into the unknown.

In one of the two haunted houses for 2020, the Revenge of the Tooth Fairy lures you into the story as soon as you step under the banner. At first glance, the idea might seem sweet and innocent, but the perilous truth is about to be revealed.

Room after room and scene after scene, the frights build. While there aren’t piles of teeth covering the walls, scare actors are ready to feast in your screams. These characters have a voracious appetite.

One of the reasons why this haunted house is so frightening is because it preys on a sweet story from childhood. And the idea of losing all your teeth is a haunting dream. Not to mention how people fear going to the dentist. If you don’t like a dentist’s drill sound, be forewarned before stepping into the dark.

Throughout the experience, there is immense detail. As a foodie, the kitchen is both enticing and repulsive. It might make you think twice about a ladyfinger cake.

Without giving away all the details, the Revenge of the Tooth Fairy is quite successful. If you can say sweet dreams after this Halloween Horror Night experience, you might have some wicked dreams.

While the Revenge of the Tooth Fairy preys on fear, the other haunted experience, Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives brings one of the classic Universal monsters to the Halloween event. While all the Universal Monsters had an experience last year, this haunted house is more focused.

Going through room after room, it can be difficult to capture all the details in just one trip. As the classic Halloween Horror Nights fog welcomes guests into the experience, the creepy details await around the corner.

For anyone who is a fan of Universal Monsters, it is important to pay attention. There are so many references throughout the experience, it can be hard to keep count. Even as characters try to make you scream, you will want to take a moment to appreciate the nuance.

Since this year’s experience is different, Universal Orlando has taken precautions to ensure the safety of its guests. All scare actors are behind plexiglass and all guests must sanitize their hands prior to entering the experience. Also, masks must be worn and social distancing is required.

Currently, Universal Orlando is offering virtual lines for the two haunted houses. Guests can use the Universal Orlando app to reserve their return time.

These two haunted houses are included in theme park admission. They are open during regular park hours.
