Disney Holiday celebrations might have a different dusting of Pixie Dust this year.

Over the weekend, Disney Parks celebrated Christmas in July. That affectionate look back had people posing the question, could Disney Holiday celebrations look different this year? While nothing has been predictable in 2020, it seems likely that Disney Holiday celebrations might look different, but they will still have that Disney Magic.

Going to Disney Parks over the holidays is quite entertaining. From the iconic Epcot Candlelight Processional to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, there is always extra merriment all around. In a way, it is almost like the North Pole has christened Disney Parks with its own version of a magical holiday workshop. It is almost impossible not to feel the holiday spirit.

While Santa is always watching all year long, Santa wouldn’t blame anyone for a few naughty thoughts this year. From being stuck in the house 24/7 to missing special events, everyone is looking for a little happy thought, future moment or a taste of normal. Could the holiday season bring that normal?

As the Halloween events have been canceled for this year, it has theme park fans crossing their fingers that the holidays will bring that normal back. Maybe it is the Christmas wish that could really come true.

Although no one can predict the future, one important aspect is for everyone to follow the rules. From wearing a mask to being socially distant, adhering to the rules will help to bring back those holiday moments that people want.

Still, it is likely that any Disney Holiday celebrations will have a different feel. It could be a smaller crowd at the Epcot Candlelight Processional. Maybe there is no Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

A smaller-scale event could be a smart choice for Disney Parks. It still brings that holiday magic that people want, just in a way that is more feasible given the current climate. In a way, it could be the perfect solution.

Also, there is an interesting idea that could make this holiday season quite special. According to CinemaBlend, the Disney book Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge – Traveler’s Guide to Batuu mentions a Harvest Festival. Also, there is mention of Life Day, a Wookie holiday that has color schemes similar to Christmas.

Could a holiday event be coming for Galaxy’s Edge? Since this holiday season is the first big foray for the Star Wars-themed area, it could be a nice way for fans to feel a little holiday spirit. Even with the limited capacity and reservation system, a Star Wars holiday celebration could make everyone feel better. Even a few holiday-themed dishes or drinks would be appreciated.

Also, Disney Parks could film the event for a Disney + special. Just think about how Disney fans would love to explore the Disney Holidays at Disney Parks. With Animal Kingdom and its animals getting a Disney + program, why couldn’t these seasonal programs become part of the programming?

For now, no one can speculate what the Disney Holidays might look like. No matter what does happen, a visit to Disney Parks always has some special magic.
