Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD jettisons our SHIELD team to yet another decade, trying to stop the chronicoms from unraveling more time threads

Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD thoroughly plans on dragging us throughout history in its final season.

Which is great! We’re always up for an adventure, the potential to see old, familiar faces. Which is all we really want in this final season, right?

In case you missed it, the official synopsis for this week’s episode:

"“A surprise leap forward in time has stranded Enoch in 1931 and landed the team in yet another unfamiliar decade. Now, in order to stop the chronicoms from launching their newest future-dismantling plan, the agents will have to infiltrate one of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s most secure bases. They won’t be able to succeed without help from a familiar face or two.”"

Our team has plenty to figure out without having to chase the chronicoms through various points in American history. Expect plenty of extra emotional baggage from pretty much every single character this season. We’ve only just touched on May and Elena and no one’s had much time to process LMD Coulson now in their midst…especially LMD Coulson.

Also… when do we think we’re going to see Fitz? Or learn anything about him? So far he’s just been name-dropped, mostly by his best friend Enoch. I’d love to see them reunited sooner rather than later. Same with him and Simmons (I have a bone to pick about that), but that separation makes sense.

Let’s just hope Agents of SHIELD doesn’t take too long answering some of our burning questions.
