Anna K: A Love Story by Jenny Lee

Jenny Lee’s Anna K: A Love Story hits shelves this March, and it’s likely to appeal to anyone who’s ever been a teenage girl trying to navigate the tumultous waters of high school. It follows the titular Anna K., a 17 year old living in Manhattan. Anna’s life is seemingly perfect, and even as her family and friends struggle with problems like sexting scandals and unrequited love, Anna glides by unaffected.

But everyone knows a perfect life doesn’t make for a good story. Predictably, Anna’s easy life changes when she falls in love with one  Alexia “Count” Vronsky, a playboy who’s basically the exact opposite of her. The two fall for one another, but that comes with a whole new set of problems — problems Anna’s not used to having in her normally carefree life.

It seems that Alexia’s arrival will also force Anna to make choices she’s not prepared for. According to the book’s description:

"“As Alexia and Anna are pulled irresistibly together, she has to decide how much of her life she is willing to let go for the chance to be with him. And when a shocking revelation threatens to shatter their relationship, she is forced to question if she has ever known herself at all.”"

What the “shocking revelation” Anna experiences could be remains a mystery, but it seems likely to shake up her life and her newfound relationship in some unexpected ways. Anna K: A Love Story is currently available in print, ebook, and audiobook formats, and it’s not one romance readers will want to pass up this month.
