Miss Fisher & the Crypt of Tears trailer is finally here and it’s perfect
The trailer for Miss Fisher & the Crypt of Tears is finally here, and it is epic! The film is set to come out in 2020. Take a look.
Fans of Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, our time has come again! The trailer for the film has finally arrived, and it is as epic as you might expect. Miss Fisher & the Crypt of Tears will come to theaters in Australia in February 2020 and then worldwide sometime after that.
If you’re not familiar with Miss Fisher…well, first of all, you need to fix that immediately. Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries follows the Honorable Miss Phryne Fisher (played by Essie Davis) as she solves crimes in 1920s Australia with her trusty companion, Dot, and with the help of the dashing inspector Jack Robinson. It’s on Netflix until September 15, and can be streamed exclusively via Acorn TV after that.
But back to the trailer! It starts off with Miss Fisher herself, and this time she’s in Jerusalem. The last time we saw her (spoilers!), she was flying away with her father right after kissing Jack. It seems her adventures have brought her to a much more arid climate, where she’s making her way across the sand on motorcycles and camels.
And guess who happens to show up? Like Jack Robinson could ever stay away from Phryne Fisher for long. He’s made his way all the way to Jerusalem, and oh my god, there is a scene where they’re standing in the rain! Over three seasons of the show, they’ve only kissed once. Please let there be at least one more in this movie!
The trailer finishes with a fencing scene, where Phryne quickly defeats her opponent. Upset, he says she “has no respect for the rules” and Phryne, witty as ever, states that “that’s because they happen to be written by men.” If you were afraid this wasn’t going to be as good as the series, the trailer should help sort out any lingering worries.
