Young Justice: Outsiders episode 19 will bring back an old foe, along with a varying degree of conflict.

There’s really no rest for the Outsiders. After rescuing nearly a dozen meta-humans from Klarion last week, the new superhero team will have to deal with Lex Luther’s shenanigans. No doubt “Early Warning” was a cautionary tale for the ominous stories to come, but we still don’t think Lex’s plot is the root of that warning. Even beyond Lex Luther, Young Justice: Outsiders episode 19 will tackle a lot of the mysteries from last week to build even more interpersonal conflict.

Move out of the way, Lex, because “Early Warning” foreshadowed a lot of drama. Although Lex’s villainy might be the highlight of this week’s episode, we have no doubt this week will pivot to focus on Halo’s personal life. After all, they are going through a lot.

Warner Bros. Television Division’s brief synopsis doesn’t give our fan theories much to work with, but that won’t stop us. This week’s official synopsis is:

"“The Outsiders face Lex Luthor’s machinations. But Lex (MARK ROLSTON) isn’t the only one trying to manipulate them!”"

Judging by the antagonist at hand and this week’s episode title, “Elder Wisdom,” the Outsiders could team up with some more seasoned superheroes. Seeing as the Justice League is still barred from most countries, we probably won’t see any heart-to-hearts between the JLA and the Outsiders. However, anything is possible in the Young Justice fandom.

The DC Universe had some exciting announcements for its animated series at San Diego Comic-Con this year:

Nonetheless, a choice word in the synopsis could reveal who might be trying to “manipulate” the Outsiders this week. Better yet, it could reveal who might continue to manipulate the team. After Artemis and Tara’s fight scene, which dredged up some abusive PTSD flashbacks, this week could kick up more of Tara’s deceitful subplot. We’re still rooting for Tara’s redemption arc though, especially after she warmed up to Artemis’ healthy training methods (which we’ll see more of once she finally gets to spar with the new meta-humans).

We might not see any of the newly rescued meta-humans in the fight scenes against Lex. They have their own priorities — like figuring out how to be a meta-human in the first place. However, this episode will be a somber one, especially with the number of confessionals Halo has been suppressing.
