Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD returns from a one-week break with two separate planets in danger. Can our SHIELD crew rally to save the planets–and themselves?
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD took last week off, but we’re diving right back into the action this week with our SHIELD compatriots.
On the last episode, Agents of SHIELD brought Deke back into the fold. It’s nice to see a familiar face and see how much he’s enjoying life in a world he only saw in faded books. But what exactly will he bring to the team? Well, we’ll just have to wait and see what the show does with him.
Here’s the official synopsis for this week’s episode, “The Other Thing,” courtesy of ABC:
"Sarge has May; Altarah has Daisy, Enoch and Simmons; and now, there are two planets that need saving."
At the very least, the show needs to tell us what exactly Sarge is up to. From the previews for this episode, it looks like his team attempts to save the planets rather than come to destroy them. But this show also enjoys giving us fun twists, so don’t anticipate anything until after it happens.
Meanwhile, in deep space, Daisy and Simmons have lost Fitz to a Chronicom, but hey! At least they found Enoch! Who is horribly confused as to what they’re doing there. After all, he still believes they’re stuck in that time loop and Fitz needs to get seventy years into the future to save everyone.
Now that he’s been excommunicated and doesn’t actually need to get Fitz to the future to save the world, he may be a little more susceptible to going against his protocol or any rules they may come up against.
I think the question we all have for Agents of SHIELD: Will Sarge tell the truth? Or will May just believe him because of the face he wears?
