E.T. Adventure

E.T. Adventure is one of the best family rides at Universal Studios Florida. The slow-moving dark ride is filled with color, a great story, and even a greeting from E.T. himself. You’ll start off in a little pre-screening room where Steven Spielberg tells you all about E.T.’s dying planet and how only you can save it by taking E.T. back.

Once the film is over, you’ll walk through a set of doors where you’ll give your name to a Universal Team Member who will put it into a computer and give you a little plastic card. Don’t lose that card before you board the ride, it’s important for the journey. Walking through the queue feels a lot like walking through a thick, dense forest late in the evening.

One of the most iconic things about this ride is the smell of the queue. If you’ve never been on E.T. Adventure then you might not know what we are talking about, but if you have you know it’s one of the best things about the ride. The smell is hard to describe but it sure is popular among theme park fans.

Your ride car looks like four tandem bikes with a small basket on the front where E.T. is hiding. As you go through the journey, you’ll encounter popular scenes from the movies like the cops trying to get E.T. in the forest, flying high above the city on a bike and E.T.’s glowing finger. After you save E.T.’s home planet he will thank you personally!

This ride is suitable for people of all ages and does not offer rider swap. There’s also no lockers to store your belongings in. Just bring them right on to the attraction with you and a Team Member will let you know what to do.
