Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD has started its sixth season with a fun bang and plenty of mystery. So is it still new tonight, June 7?
We’re only four episodes into this sixth season of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, and so much mystery still remains. Who exactly is Sarge after, aside from timeline errors? Does Sarge usher in the Armageddon-type phenomena or is he there to try to prevent it? And what the heck is he going to do with Agent May?
With all of that still up in the air (and that’s just the Earth plotlines!), we have to ask ourselves: Is Agents of SHIELD new tonight?
No. No it is not. Unless you want to take Reverend Lovejoy’s advice.

It feels okay that Agents of SHIELD is already taking a week off this season. After all, it’s only thirteen episodes long, almost half as short as prior seasons. But that’s a good thing for the show’s pacing, something it’s almost always struggled with.
Still, it’s a bit of a bummer we’re missing a week in action with so much still up in the air.
With Deke’s return last week into the SHIELD fold, will he be able to add anything to the team? The only thing he really has more experience with would be space travel and aliens. So Mack may need him on the Daisy/FitzSimmons front of things. Or maybe he heard stories about those weird bat creatures while he was in the Lighthouse.
And where will the rest of this season take Daisy, Simmons, Piper, and Davis? Fitz has been taken by a Chronicom–and not a fun, dull one like Enoch. However! They do now have Enoch in their fold and he may have some guidance as to how to track down Fitz.
Plus, you know, he has lost his will to live and be a responsible Chronicom, so it’s always possible he’s a little more rebellious now.
Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD returns to ABC with all new episodes next Friday, June 14th at 8pm.
