Doom Patrol season 1 episode 14 live stream: Watch online

The second to last episode of Doom Patrol features a standoff between the team and Mr. Nobody, but they might come to a bittersweet compromise.

We typically have last-minute jitters before a season finale, but we already have that feeling before the penultimate episode of Doom Patrol. Given the circumstance between the team’s standoff against Mr. Nobody, we’d say those feelings are justified. With Doom Patrol episode 14, “Penultimate Patrol,” on its way, we can at least look forward to an ultimate team up this week. (That makes up for all the impending mayhem, right?)

The Doom Patrol has faced off against Mr. Nobody in the earliest episode of the series, but they’ve grown a lot since then. Victor joined the team, they’ve been more of a family, and they’ve actually started to accept their roles as heroes and the innately strange side missions that come with the gig. Back in the first couple episode, they didn’t even know how to use their abilities, let alone who the heck Eric Morden was (or that Niles Caulder had enemies). We just hope their growing experience is enough to fight Morden.

According to Warner Bros. Television’s synopsis of “Penultimate Patrol,” an epic battle against the newbie heroes and a seasoned villain isn’t the only thing we should expect this week:

"With the help of Flex and Danny the Street, the Doom Patrol enter the White Space to rescue the Chief from Mr. Nobody. But Nobody offers them a deal that’s hard to resist."

Does anyone have any guesses on what deal Mr. Nobody offers them, or are you already buried in ten stacks of Doom Patrol comics trying to decode this ambiguous deal? Regardless, Nobody’s deal has us worried, especially since Nobody always has a loophole or three hidden in his contracts. “Paw Patrol” is proof of that. Judging from the photos from the episode, we aren’t the only one who’s timid about this week’s adventures.

Danny the Street is scared of Mr. Nobody. The Doom Patrol is scared of Mr. Nobody. And, most importantly, we’re terrified of Mr. Nobody. We’re not going to let our apprehension stop us from joining the Danny Protection Squad though — because if Morden so much as touches a leaf on Danny Street that will be our antihero origin story. But… back to that deal and whatever else Nobody is plotting.

Given Mr. Nobody’s attachment to the team’s psyche courtesy of his season-long snooping and the other-dimensional donkey door, he has a lot of emotional dirt of the unsuspecting heroes. We know there’s a catch to his offer. We also know that the Doom Patrol knows he’s a heinous, horrible, awful man and they aren’t easily bribed. We’ll probably just have to wait until the season finale for any resolution on this expectant cliffhanger though. At least we have some behind the scenes magic to distract us.
